GOD BLESS NAGALIM!
The Naga peoples resistance is one of the oldest struggles for self-determination against colonization in the region and yet it continues to be one of the least known peoples movement in the world.
A voluntary plebiscite was held in May 1951 to determine whether Nagas would join Indian Union, or live by themselves. The result was 99.9% in favor of independence. In persuance of their declared national decision, the Naga people launched Civil Disobedient Movement and sucessfully boycotted the General Elections of free India. Therefore, the Indo-Naga issue is neither a question of "Separation" nor "Secession" from India. Separation or Secession comes only when there is a union. Nagalim was and is never a part of India and as such, Naga independence is neither a question of separation nor secession from India.

Chinese’s economic presence in Burma is growing fast, filling in where sanctions have forced the United States and its allies out.
RFA/Tyler Chapman
At U.S. $600, motorbikes from China are popular in Burma, and are a big part of Mandalay's air-quality woes.
By TYLER CHAPMAN
RANGOON—It was 7 a.m. and the sun, still low in the sky, was already heralding another sweltering spring day in one of Burma’s gateway cities to China.

As well nigh all ceasefire groups anxiously waited to hear what the United Wa State Army (UWSA) has to say to the latest proposal made by Burma’s ruling generals before giving their own, the group in focus itself has been busy composing a suitable response, according to a highly-placed source close to the leadership.

The ethnic national leaders have established the NDF with the aim of realizing the noble objectives of equality, self-determination and the establishment of federal union of Burma based on democracy. They have been struggling on for more than 3 decades and the 33rd Anniversary of foundation of the NDF falls on today, May 10, 2009. We, the NDF, always pay great respect and place on record the sacrifice of lives and limbs made by many heroic members of ethnic populations, resistance leaders and comrades in the course of 33 years of struggle.
