It was said that during the French Revolution, thousands of people were guillotined. King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette also went to the guillotine during the Revolution time. What one wonders here is, guillotine was a machine invented by Mr. Guillotine for killing people by beheading. Later the inventor himself went to the guillotine, hence the saying "Guillotine kills Guillotine." If he would know he will be a victim of his own handmade machine, I think, he would not have thought of making the guillotine.

When you pray for your kids, how do you pray? For an unsaved person or for a criminal in your locality, how do you pray? For your pastor or for your missionary or for your mission field, how do you pray? Such are a few questions that can take you calmly to think how you really should pray. Thoughtless and aimless prayer with many words is useless. Therefore, our prayer must be specific and to the point. Matt 6:7 confirms it:- "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words." (NIV).
